Does anyone know of a good forum, or meeting place where I can hook up with people who want to lend books?
I don't know about other places but here in Arizona, just about every B&N location has meetups in thier stores every Wednesday for this exact purpose.
Maybe try asking one of those nook reps inside the stores.
As for online- I'm on goodreads.com a lot and sometimes notice that people lend books there, though I haven't done it.
