Do you really judge and feel judged based on our lists on gdgt?

I look at lists to confirm my suspicions of fanboyism. If someone is way too cheerleader-y of a particular company in a discussion, I look at their list to see if they own every product that company has ever made. There's always a correlation.

I don't really judge people on gdgt because I assume that, if you're a gdgt member, you know a lot about consumer tech and have enough passion for it to take the time out to make your have, had, and want list. The only time I'll judge gdgt members is when I notice that they have a very very strong opinion on something and I'll go verify if they're a fanboy of that product/company or not by looking at their list.

Outside of gdgt, I always notice myself checking out people's phones and guessing what kind of phone they have and guessing what type of person they are...I probably should do that less. lol

I guess one can't know for sure if they are judging, but I don't think I do. I have never felt judged on gdgt at all. Gdgt is a nice growing community, and I feel no pressure here at all. The advice has been coming and going nicely, and if I recommend a specific product I have never said this is the be-all answer. That would be a very ignorant thing for a person to say. Especially because things evolve and change. This is life after all, nothing is written in stone forever.

I look, and as cass/others says I verify fanboyism. I may not always judge.

I have no problems with anyone judging me by my gdgt list.

dont judge lest ye be judged and in my case I only judge fan boys who dont own both. like Mac and PC or XBox and Ps3 you cannot make a determination unless you own both sides. and fanboyism is rampant among people who dont have a clue and only buy apple because its got an apple logo not because they think its a better product but they have to tell themselves it is because they paid a premium for that apple logo go look at my gdgt list and I dare you to judge me not pictured is my self built PCs no classification for us home builders on GDGT
