Did anyone pick-up a Palm Pre for $99 yesterday?
I almost made the jump, then it was back to $199
I went to Best Buy today (7/27) and bought one for $99. The salesman said they were on sale until Saturday.
It's nice that they have them in stock. And that's a pretty good price compared to the $749.99 "List Price" (WTF?!?) that they show at BestBuy.com. And I think my local store had a sign that listed it at $849.99!! Sprint.com has a "regular price" of $549.99..
So what price is it?
Since I bought it on launch day at my Sprint store, for me it was $199.99 now that I've received (just today!) my $100 rebate check. Not to bad a turnaround on the rebate, just 30 days to the day after I mailed it in.

I actually managed to get to Best Buy yesterday and snag a $99 Pre!
I love it!
A+ phone, with a few points of suckage:
1) Battery Life
2) Inability to copy/paste from text messages/websites/web based email (ugh! but they claim this is getting fixed soon)
3) Syncing of gmail/facebook contacts (there really needs to be an option to "only use this as a gtalk name, don't import contacts" or "only import contacts with phone numbers"... however, to be fair, a lot of the problem here is on google's contact management side, not the pre's).

Yes - actually got the deal, both mine and my wifes. My wifes Pre works/looks like a charm. Unfortunately for mine, I've been plagued with a rash of dead pixels and uneven lighting :-(
Soon as Best Buy gets there next shipment in, I'll be back (third times a charm... right?) hopefully to end this mess and get a good screen. I hate being that guy, but I'll get it.
But the apps (limited though that may be for now) rock, the OS is incredible - the cards are amazing, the speed is "correct" when opening new apps/cards sometimes a tad slow but you understand, and usability/connectedness is superb I find it amazing to talk, open contacts, drop new name & number in, be looking up directions to the location we'll be meeting at, take a geotagged photo, all one after the other, on the fly, and then just *flick* *flick* *flick* you're clear and ready for the next round of activities. WOW.
