Discussion about
Dell G2410 image problems with a Mac mini
i was actually going to post something tomorrow about this, but since Ryan posted his review I figured I'd post today. I can't agree more with his assessment, if you are a Mac user, skip this model ad wait for the next. So I actually have the smaller 2210 and it just began to do this thing where the whole screen just goes "wavy", i shot a quick video of it and posted to my flickr account. As Ryan said Dell has been pretty unhelpful, they blame my mini, which works gloriously when i hook it up to my tv and older dell monitor. www.flickr.com/photos/25998204@N06/5821670881/in/p...
Yeah, the monitor is kind of a joke. At first I thought it was just my machine and that something was up, but then other gdgt people started seeing lots of weird issues on their G2410s as well. Very uncool. I hope there will be a recall and replacement, but I highly doubt it.

The important part: "I have nothing but positive things to say about the monitor for the standard criteria (picture quality, design, inputs, etc.), but due to severe stability issues I just can't recommend it.
The G2410 is our standard issue monitor at gdgt HQ, and we have had nothing but problems with them (specifically when used with Macs), including hard crashes (where the monitor needs to be fully unplugged), loss of signal for no apparent reason, and random restarts.
Dell has been highly unsupportive of these issues. I strongly suggest waiting for models with improved stability, especially if you're a Mac user."
