Can you please just let everyone update to the latest Android OS. Everyone wants it, the only ones that don't are the greedy, money hungry, scamming, over sized, slow phone carriers.
I still like you though Google =)

It's my understanding that the hold up has nothing to do with Google. It has everything to do with the carrier of the phone you are using. Since each carrier customizes the OS, the carrier has the responsibility of "updating the update" as appropriate for each phone. This fragmentation of the OS seems to be one of the growing gripes with Android phones.
OH WHAT! I do not want the cappicino or expresso , or whatever it's called (horrible tmobile skin) on my mytouch. I would rather keep my 1.6, and not deal with that wierd cheap looking skin. Seriously, HTC, Motorola, Tmobile, STOP MAKING ANDROID SKINS. Android is beautiful, just leave it be. All the functionality is there on Froyo, so stop junking it up companies. Sorry, I just wanted that off my chest.
Well, Tmobile already made it apparent it's pushing it's own android skin.
This has been discussed frequently but it has less to do with google and more to do with the carrier/manufacture. They need to make sure the latest version will run without issue on your phone before sending it out. If they just dumped the newest version out and it didn't work there would be a lot of angry people. So while it does stink being behind everyone else just take comfort in them trying to make sure you get the best experience possible.
When is the Froyo-ness coming to mytouch anyway? Does anyone know. Will it be a surprise?
