Oh, man! Don't do it! Tempting price but the new iPad will be announced in a few short days, not to mention that you'd be saddled with a 2-year contract and an expensive data plan.

True, depends whether you really want to be on the bleeding edge or like to have a cheap up front price and the data plan. Depends how much you consume data.

How much is the monthly data plan for the iPad in the UK? In the US, it goes for about $60 / month (roughly £37, I believe?).

£25 pm (Orange customer), £27 pm (New customer). 1 GB anytime, 1 GB quiet time (whatever that is) and unlimited BT Openzone WiFi.

For the iPad, I don't know if 1 GB is good or not, for a smartphone it is more than enough.
