Crap quality?

Has any one else had the same problems that I do with these headsets?
1. I am now on my 4th cord for this headset, has to buy new ones basically every second month
2. The plastic above the "ear pieces" (don't know the word in english) breaks up and makes the headset useless.

Have sent it in to Creative, will get really angry if the dont replace it.
Too bad really because the noice cancelling is working very well.

Well, you posted a freaking year ago... Lol, I got my set at Israels intl. airport like 3 years ago, and I am a heavy user. Still, have had NO problems.

Since day one, I've feared for the cord, and even bought a generic plug-to-plug that'll fit (most belkin cables do the job) but, as of now, I've had NO problems. I love these cans.

Plus, I'm not just some random kid, I'm a sound engineer and own a small recording studio... Of course these headphones are useless for recording; but they are great sounding cans. Only set I own that sounds better than this, are some old, vintage Yamahas (those were my fathers. I don't recall the model number, as they live in my studio, and I'm currently home). But... to answer your question; my set sounds awesome.

Also.... I assume you've tried them with several audio sources; and you probably know that trying them with your iPod will be counterproductive, as apples soundcards suck @$$... (they've gotten better, but still s#itty). I've used them plugged directly to my mixer and they're awesome, also, use them constantly with my trustworthy Creative Zen Vision:M.
