Contrary to what CNET posted, the screen actually has a glass front

Long story short, I broke the glass part of the screen... It is definitely glass. That is all. In unrelated news, if anyone happens to want a semi broken cowon s9 (touch screen works, but there is a huge spider web crack), let me know. Kidding.

To be more specific, it's Corning Gorilla Glass. IMO it's too thin, contributing to the overall chintziness of the machine. Looks like you found out the hard way.

I just had the same problem. My S9 fell in the concrete floor and although fully functional, the display looks like a spider web as well. If anybody knows where to repair the unit(I'm guessing it's better to buy a new one) please let me know. Thanks.
