Checking out the Droid tomorrow, hit me up with your questions!
I'm meeting with Verizon tomorrow to check out the Droid, post your questions below and I'll try and see how many of them I can answer after I get back and/or on the podcast.
UPDATE: Lots of good questions, but please keep in mind I'm getting a short briefing tomorrow, not a device to review, so may not be able to address some of the more in-depth questions. Will do my best though!
UPDATE 2: Actually did get one to review, so ask away!

it's a 5 megapixel, autofocus camera with a dual LED flash. it takes decent pics, about middle of the range compared to other 5mp cameraphones, based on my experience. compared to higher-end camera phones from samsung and sony ericsson, it's just "ok", but is an improvement over all previous android phones.
the camera capture software, on the other hand, is very basic, just like all previous android devices.

the droid is VERY solid, with a primarily metal (likely aluminum) construction and soft-touch coatings throughout. the screen *may* be glass, if not high quality plastic, but am unsure at this point exactly. feels much like the G1's screen; sounds very thick when tapped, similar friction when rubbing/swiping, but not noticeably cold to the touch like glass is, hence my uncertainty.
seams are very close... it's built VERY tightly with no creaks, squeaks, or flexing.
the only disappointment is in the sliding mechanism; there's no spring-loaded assist in either direction nor any locking detents at the open or closed position. it IS quite tight though, at least the unit i handled, but still opens and closes easily with a single hand. it wont slide open on its own, which is a good thing, and it is mounted very close to the body of the phone... very solid. i dont feel that this screen will loosen up or begin to wobble for the lifetime of the device, unless it's damaged, of course.

Can it fully sync more than one Gmail account? As in push calendar, contacts, and email? How about Exchange?
Price and plan options? =)

Yes it can sync with multiple Google accounts. Exchange also works.
Interested in how responsive the device is overall, and how it compares to the Palm Pre since they share the same TI chipset. Can you ask if they are implementing any hardware drivers to harness the GPU? To my knowledge, the Pre is not using the GPU to it's full potential.
this thing is very responsive. virtually no lag navigating the menus and home screens unless you have an abundance of widgets on your home screen. and even then the lag is absolutely minimal. web page scrolling is fast and fluid once pages are loaded. web page rendering is probably the slowest thing about it, unfortunately, and will probably be addressed in the next update to android os.
but keep in mind that we're talking 2-10 seconds slower than my iphone 3gs when rendering a webpage over wifi. definitely not much in the grand scheme of things, but if you're migrating from an iphone 3gs, you'll notice the difference.

Not difficult at all. Check out the 'Google Listen' app in the android marketplace. listen.googlelabs.com/

That answers my original question I guess. I knew something like this would do it.

Thanks for looking out Peter! I would like to know (although I'm pretty sure you're going to cover this) if the speed of the Droid in general competes with the iPhone 3GS. I know that BGR reported that browser speeds match it, but I would like to know if the phone itself can do it, with apps running in the background & widgets. The other thing I would like to know from your hands-on is that is it worth it to leave T-Mobile to go to Verizon Wireless for this phone or should I wait for an unlocked GSM version? Thanks in advance!
I'd also like to know how many apps can be running until "chunking up" occurs.
Im pretty sure I read somewhere it can run up to 6 apps simultaneously.
imap is sooo much better, if your current email provider only supports pop you can still get imap. Get a Gmail account, and set it up to pull in your other emails via pop, then access that over imap. I have three other email addresses that consolidate into one gmail account, then I access that via imap on Thunderbird and my htc magic - and both stay in sync.
This is miracle. Is Verizon finally realizing not to cripple phones.
incompatible network. you'll need to wait for a GSM version to be released, which may take a minimum of 6 months due to this being a Verizon exclusive device. due to the verizon-vodafone relationship, you'll likely see a GSM version for vodafone released in the very near future.
I'd be interested in how fast I can surf the web on this. The browser has been reported to be bringing HTML5 and Flash 10 support in the future, which intrigues me... Would I be able to run Hulu on this device?
Will there be any significant new "Cloud" features?

Currently the Android development documentation is still showing limited support of the OpenGL ES 1.1 spec. Any word on if the docs need to be updated or when OpenGL ES 2.0 support will become available?
