Cheap, but is it reliable?

I'm currently looking for a replacement for my 42" Westinghouse LCD that's just started showing image persistence and banding after two years. I'd really prefer not to have to buy another screen two years from now, but I'm also a cheapskate. Anyone know the likelihood of this thing crapping out on me in a year or two?

I have 2 of the Vizio VO42Ls. I've had one for around 6 months and another for maybe 4 months. Not a problem. Out of my previous 5 Vizio TVs I've had problems with 1 that had a failing power supply unit which was replaced by a tech in my home within a week.

I have a Vizio, they make top notch stuff in my opinion. Best blacks I've seen on a sub-$1000 TV (I have a 37").
