I picked up a pair shortly after they were announced. While I was dissapointed to find they do not have the volume up and down buttons that the Apple earbuds do, the sound performance and construction is what I expected from v-moda.

I've owned a set of v-moda vibes for a couple of years now. When the vibes arrived, there was a short in one of the cables. I shipped them back to v-moda and received a working pair, with appologies. That pair has served me well since.

If you've not tried a v-moda product before, the sound is a little bass heavy. I happen to prefer it. You can control this somewhat by playing with the seal these earbuds make with your ear canal. The other attraction to v-moda products for me is their build materials. The older vibe model I have is mostly chrome with a durable plastic coating on the cables. The Faze model is mostly plastic with metal accents. They're still attractive, produce near identical sound compared to my vibes, and were half the price. I paid about $100 for the vibe earbuds a couple of years ago.
