Bluetooth on my Windows 7 laptop has stopped working. I don't know what happened, but when I scan, I can't discover anything.

I used to connect my phone to my PC, but now I want to connect my PS3's headset, but can't. Has anyone had problems with bluetooth drivers, or something like this? I've tried installing the drivers from the site, but I've had no luck.

Suddenly going away points to either something seriously screwy, something very obvious (as e.g. having disabled your Bluetooth inadvertently either through the Control Panel or in the case of some VAIO's, by the switch), or failed hardware.

I'm wondering if I didn't accidentally delete some drivers or a piece of software that was related to bluetooth. I know I did a lot of "cleanup" to remove all the crapware, and I might have pushed it a bit. The problem is no matter how many times I try reinstalling drivers or other pieces of software, it never works.

Have you tried another device? Maybe put your phone on discoverable and see if your comp picks it up?

I've tried this too. Nothing works.

Sounds like a hardware issue. Check Device Manager to make sure your Bluetooth radio is functioning properly.
