Blackberry users who have switched to the Palm Pre

Are there any former Blackberry users out there who have switched to the Pre? If so, what are your thoughts? Pros/cons? A lot of reviews I have seen are from iPhone/WinMo users who have switched, but I'm looking for some reviews from "recovering crackberrys". I currently have a Bold and a Storm and am considering dropping the Storm. (I'll never give up my Bold).

I also had the Blackberry Bold and most recently the Blackberry Storm. I left the Storm to go to the Pre. Things that I love about Blackberry are messaging and battery life. I also loved the podcasting app called podtrapper. There are many other things to like about blackberry, build quality and an indicator light rank up there for me. However, the web browsing experience was not the best.

I am always trying out new devices in an attempt to find the perfect device for me. I still haven't found it yet. The Pre gives me wifi, which was missing from the Storm and a web browser that works extremely well. I like the qwerty keyboard although small, it didn't take much time to get use to it. I do wish that the Pre had an indicator light and adjustable settings for different alerts. Overall I am pleased with the switch from the Storm. I did like the Bold, but At&t coverage is horrible in my house and place of employment. The bold had a great display and excellent keyboard, but the browser and the size of the display were not enjoyable for extended web browsing.

I was a Curve user on Sprint. I moved to the Pre and do miss some features. Most important are: Indicator light, highly customizable sound profiles, physical play/pause button, holster with auto detection, very easy screen unlocking. Some of those may sound minor, but they are really missed.

There are, however, some great advantages. Synergy does a great job at syncing contacts, bigger screen means more room to read emails, web browser is fully functional and I've yet to find a page without flash that it couldn't handle, swipe gestures below the screen, keyboard feels much the same as the curve, card metaphor works great, runs much smoother and handles multitasking much better, better call quality for me, and probably some other things I'm forgetting.

All together I'm happy with the move, but RIM really does deserve a lot of credit for making a super functional device in both hardware and software. It may not be as fancy as the Pre, but it is well thought out and really just made sense.
