Better (read: lighter) lighted cover for 505?
I'm not exactly a wuss, but swapping the trifold cover with the lighted cover with it's substantial lighty-up bits is quite a noticeable drag. Is there a lighter (and hopefully, more effective - contrast goes way down with trying to read it in darker places with this on) option?
Well - I've been using a head mounted torch I had lying around which actually works pretty well, but the SO spotted me in front of the fire with it the other day and I could see her foot convulsing on the other side of the doorframe along with the hysterical laughter.
The real problem in actual use - the weight is an issue for portability but not that much of a deal-killer - is the chronic decrease in readability with the cover (FYI: PRSA-CL1) on. The partially frosted glass cover is necessary in order to diffuse the light across the page, but it also diffuses the screen contents too. I'm thinking a self-powered gooseneck or top-down light would be more practical.
Anyone have elegant suggestions?
