best headphones ever

I've had mine for 3 years and they are one of the only gadgets that I never want to upgrade. they're all beat up and taped up but I love them too much to get a new pair.

Why INDEED good sir, I must concur with your deduction. These headphones are of the highest quality - their build, superior and their depth, immeasurable. I simply cannot recall a life without them.

Had them for over 2 years now and working great and wouldn't change a thing. Simply awesome at cancel sounds perfectly, only wish I could use them for my Xbox 360 with a mic.

I've had my pair for over two years now, and I agree that they're fantastic - haven't ever felt the need to upgrade, or get a new pair - they just work as well now as they did when they were shiny new.

Only one issue - the cover on the padding (don't know exactly how to describe it - but the shiny-black-plasticy coating on the padding - you know what I mean!) for the earpieces and the headband on my set's been flaking off the past few months, and the padding's completely bald now.

Any idea if Bose fixes this? Can I get new pads put on? How much would it cost?

Yes you can replace the covers You can go to the Bose website or stop by one of your local Bose stores and they'll direct you on where you can get the replacement parts.

I have had the same issue with my Philips high-end noise cancelling headphones. I got an email back from customer support to get a new one ! Grrrrr !

I received these as a gift 3 years ago and they are still one of the best headphones I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. They're up there with some low-end Grados, which says A LOT.

I recently replaced my Bose QC2 with beats by dr. dre. The beats sound quality is much better than these. If you get a chance to visit a best buy try them out.

The beats sound nice, but they aren't as high-quality as the Bose - I feel. We sell Dre's at the Best Buy I work at - and I can tell you that I've looked at our demo - they turn up the Bass to make it sound like a better headphone than it is. Don't get me wrong - it is good. Bose is just better. xD

See I own both and I can tell that beats have the better sound. The bose doesn't have the highs and lows that the beats have. Maybe my bose are defective?

i've had these for 3 years and love them. just the other day tho the arm on the right-hand side just cracked! No idea why I treat them so gently!

Bose have been totally unhelpful so i currently have sellotape holding them together :(
