Best Bluetooth mouse for MacBook Pro?

I'd really like to utilize the bluetooth functionality on my MacBook Pro, and I'm looking for a good mouse. It would be nice to use a bluetooth mouse as there is no need to handle any dongles or what so. Anyone suggestions?

I have the Apple Wireless Mighty Mouse, and although it has a few shortcomings, it's a great match for OS X, and it's ridiculously easy to set up and then connect and disconnect each time you want to use it.

Seconded. Barely any set up, and the various buttons (there's more then you'd think/see) can be customized to do different things with Exposé and the Dashboard.

Would love to see some other options though. It doesn't integrate well with other computers besides Macs at all in my experience.

Thirded, the MM has the best integration in OS X and is an all around great mouse, even though the scroll wheel occasionally gets stuck.

Nothing I own holds a candle to the Logitech VX Nano, Windows/Mac and the usb plug is tiny. So while not a bluetooth mouse I find it perfect.

I had a Logitech bluetooth mouse that I gave to my mother for her MacBook. It worked great under OS X and Windows,. Sorry I don't have the model number. I bought the mouse at the Apple store, it had a matching aluminum finish, two buttons and a scroll wheel. Hard to go wrong with Logitech.

I use a Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000. It's a little small for what I'd like, but I couldn't find any full-size mouse for $50 at the time.

I second the Microsoft Mini Mouse 5000. Works well and only cost me $20 at Best Buy, but noticed it's around $35 at Amazon.

I third the recommendation for this mouse, it is a little small but is not a bad product for the price

I'm also using the Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 and it's fantastic. Very small, very accurate, and extremely useful carrying around. Works great when running Windows in Bootcamp or Parallels because you can't survive in Windows with a single mouse button!

Anyway, like the others before me, I highly recommend this mouse.

I put in a vote for the Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000, works great with my MacBook Pro, I like not have having to plug anything in

I also like the MS BT 5000, however I'm currently looking into why my batteries die so quickly. Maybe the BT communication between my Macbook and the MS Mouse is heavier than necessary?

I got the Logitech laser mouse (white and silver) from the Apple store when I got my Macbook Pro. NOT recommended. If after a few seconds you have not moved your mouse and then all of a sudden move it slightly, it hops to the other side of the screen. It's only accurate if you are constantly moving it on the screen. I tried the mighty mouse on my Mac and it was nicer but just found it very slow. I have been on the look out on craigslist for one and it seems you can get one for around $35 or so.

I picked up the Logitech V470 shortly after purchasing my Macbook Pro and have had no trouble with it. Doesn't have any extra bells and whistles (i.e. it's a basic 3 button mouse) but it's been rock solid for me.

Another vote for the Mighty Mouse. I use it when traveling. My only problem has been when I take the laptop to another room and forgot I was using the mouse. Stayed connected from over 7m away. No regrets on that purchase.

I also use the Wireless Mighty Mouse. If you're staying in OSX, it's probably the best choice. I have read of some grumbles that the ball-movement sensors fall apart/get gunked-up after 6+ months of use. And that there's no way to fix it other than forking over another $70 for a new mouse. My mouse is only a couple months old, and is still fine. So YMMV.

But as a dual Windows/OSX user, I can't live without my right-click. The right-click function works beautifully in OSX; no problems and it's reliable for me 99% of the time. But if I bootcamp to windows (in my case, XP), the right-click doesn't seem to respond that well. While the mouse is recognized and works in XP, I find that it only responds to a right-click about 50% of the time. Very strange since it works just fine in OSX - with the same pressure at the same location. It's enough of a hassle that if I'm playing a right-click-necessary game, I usually switch to an old Logitech mouse that has a dedicated right-click button.

The mighty mouse is very accurate although I do find it rather slow when gaming. I use a USB mouse for games now but the MightyMouse is fine for general use.

You should get the AMB08US | Targus Bluetooth® Laser Mouse for Mac® it is great and features the same functionality as the Mighty Mouse, and it also features a cool center button that reacts to your finger touch. It costs about the same but it is a little bit cheaper if you buy it from amazon.

I would like to submit a vote AGAINST the Mighty Mouse. In true Apple fashion, instead of just, you know, building a mouse with a second button, they invent some overly complex mechanism. And this mechanism becomes touchier and touchier as time goes on, until you want to throw the mouse against the wall.

Also, while I LOVED the concept of the 360 degree scroll ball, it DOES get fouled up and stops working correctly. The only way to get at it is too dismantle the mouse, which involves removed GLUED pieces; my mouse was never the same after I took it apart to try and repair the scroll ball. Furthermore, the ball is kind of tiny and tracks funny, especially when you need to do massive scrolls.

Even when it was new, the funky right click and the bizarre behavior of the scroll ball made this mouse VERY difficult to game with.

So, I eventually ditched it and bought a Rocketfish BT mouse, which lasted a year and worked very well during that time. It did fail after a year, but it was also something like $23.

I don't like wireless mice that take a USB slot, because there are only two slots on this machine, and I have a few devices connected with a hub in one, and i like to keep the other free for iPod dock or a thumb drive or whatever. And, I mean, we HAVE the BT...why not use it?

I am often perplexed by the lack of decent full sized BT mice (and KBs). You'd think it would be a fairly desirable product, no?

I have a V270, keep in mind I bought my MBP 3 years ago, I don't think this mouse is still available. If you can find it I highly recommend it.
