Best Atari Lynx game?

So what do you think was the best game available for the Lynx?? (or maybe your top 3...) I certainly didn't play all the games that were available, but my vote would be for A.P.B. Really addicting game that had a unique top-down view. Shadow of the Beast was great too, but really difficult.

My choice? BMX from California Games. There was something about that game... Some weird combination of skill, timing, and random luck that made me play it non-stop. Every now and then you could hit the top of a hill just right to bounce your bike into the air for a double or triple flip.

Loved it.

I'm ashamed to say I can't actually remember any of the games. All I can remember was this was such a great looking piece of kit but the battery life was atrocious, kinda forcing you to tie to the mains to really play the games.

I don't remember any games really standing out. They just looked amazing for something on a hand held.

Surfing or BMX from California Games were awesome games. My favorite game on the Lynx is Lemmings, great port. It's still easy to get in Europe but was released in limited numbers in the US so it tougher to find.

-Surfing and BMX from California Games
This was awesome fun. I can't believe how many hours I spent playing those games...

-Gates of Zendecon
This game has to be seen to be believed. An R-Type-type game with crazy beautiful graphics, 2-D bitmap scaling and multiple choices with which to end levels, it rocked my world when I first lay my eyes on it. There's just something about how Atari implemented that 4,096 color screen with all it's big pixel glory that made this game look better in person than any screen-shot could ever capture (that goes for any game on the Lynx).

-Todds Adventures in SlimeWorld
Still haven't completed this whole game (who knows if my Lynx still works...). It is a mind-blowing spectacle of layered, scaling, zoom-in-out 2-d side-scrolling graphics and goo-effects which guide you through SlimeWorld. This would have to be the Lynx's magnum opus in the side-scrolling department. Do yourself a favor and mate a Lynx with this game and watch its offspring dazzle you into oblivion.

Oh yeah, Blue Thunder was cool too.

One more thing: The Lynx came out right *before* the original Nintendo GameBoy and years before the Sega Game Gear.

Alas, in the spirit of an obscure Pulp Fiction-Vingh Rhames-soul-bartering reference, Atari had to make a pact with the Devil to get the Lynx to be the beast it once was: Every time you put batteries in that hooker to play a cart, the soul, err, charge was sucked RIGHT OUT before your charger had time to cool. Damn NiCads.

I still have Gates of Zendocon, Blue Lightning and California Games. Liked them all.

I just dug it out and cranked up Blue Lightning. I suck.

Anyone got tips on getting dust off the screen inside? Mine has quote a lot of crap inside I've just found.
