bad support

these fail regularly, support admitted to shipping underpowered power supplies and was still unwilling to do anything about it other then sell the proper ones.... i will never buy another lacie product.

I have an issue with this dirive that is very strange. It will work fine for months then the drive becomes unavailable. When you reconnect it the LED begins to flash quickly. The drive will never be seen by this computer again, but you can connect it to a different machine and it will work fine for a few months. I have contacted their support (which IS bad), even sent it in for repair. They return it saying nothing is wrong.

What ticks me off is that you have to create a user account and only email them. If you call them it's like $15 an hour. Email is a joke because it takes them forever to respond and they never actually answer the question. If you state a common problem like #CliffToner stated with the drive being unrecognizable they use the ol routine of " we're never heard that before". I'm sick of my school rep-ing for them. If you rather dish out cash for a brand named drive other than Seagate or Western Digital then go with g-technology.
