Bad experience with the GO 630

We own factory built-in GPS units in all our cars. Recently, we bought a used car for our son that doesn't have a GPS unit. So we bought the TomTom GO 630 for it a few weeks ago. A couple weekends ago, wife and son were driving to a friend's house that was hard to find on some GPSes. But the built-in GPSes on our cars had no problem with it even though the routing may not be optimal (note that the map databases were 5-7 years old on the built-in GPSes so they are pretty old). But the TomTom GO 630 went really whacky on this route. It was routing them to go in big circles. Wife and son were totally lost and had to call the friend to give them directions. They eventually got there an hour and a half late. Wife was complaining to our friend about the GPS. He took a look at the GPS and managed to made the unit hung in an infinite looop when calculating a route back home!!! So I returned the GPS and ordered a new Garmin instead which will arrive this week.
