Mine suffered the horrible E18 lens error after 6 months of regular use. Many Canon PowerShot cameras have suffered a similar fate at one point in time.
Returned it to the store since they gave me the extended warranty and got a Panasonic instead. Image quality was good but build quality is obviously lacking, hard to get replacement for plastic USB cover should it break off.
