Are you going to install TouchWiz UX?
Is there anyone here that is going to install the TouchWiz UX update on their Tab 10.1?
Personally, I haven't heard of a single thing that interests me at all in the update, and I want to keep as much Samsung software off my tablet as possible.
As a side note, I also find it humorous that it sounds like you have to sign up for some account with Samsung in order to get this thing. Even if I wanted the update, they really should make it easier to obtain the update.
So anyway, who's updating?

No. No. No. After I found out that you couldn't forego TouchWiz and then receive future updates, I was out. This is such a great tablet as a stock honeycomb device. I even dislike the customization that they made to the camera app.
Once something better (read: stock with great hardware) comes out, I am going to sell my Tab. Until then, I am sticking with 3.1 on here because I haven't run into any issues yet.

I believe that the best android experience is pure stock android, without the skins or modifications being installed by manufacturers. Sadly consumers in your position have been placed in a Catch-22: Keep stock android, but don't expect future OS upgrades, or install TW UX and get the updates with all the bloatware. I think Samsung has a great opportunity here to give consumers choice as to what kind of UI experience they can get. Instead, they are using it as a way to force people like you, who paid good money for their product, to potentially adopt an experience in your device that is not to your liking in order to get future upgrades. It's a crappy move on Samsung's part, and one that you, as their customer and owner of your product, should have a bigger say in.
If you are willing to root, stick to stock. Otherwise, if you don't mind the skin, then I guess you can put up with Samsung's BS. Just remember that they are basically holding your device hostage in order for you to get the experience they want to give you.

The thing that bugs me is that they haven't been clear at all on what their update means. They've never said whether it was mandatory or not, and as far as I know they've never said that not installing it means you won't get OS upgrades. After all, Honeycomb 3.2 is out, but I don't believe it has anything to do with Samsung's update, and I haven't heard what their plan for 3.2 will be.
And they won't be clear. You can rest assured though that the Honeycomb 3.2 update, if it ever comes, will be delayed until they've made the TouchWiz customizations. And who is to say how long they will support the tablet for in the long run. It's frustrating and disappointing.
