Anyone have pictures of the 8-cell?
Anyone know how what it'll look like with the 8-cell? Idea of total weight (and even better, runtime) with it? Thanks
Can tell you quickly that it's twice the size of the 4 cell battery. So it sticks out twice as far as the angle brackets (and the 4 cell).
Gives quite good life (getting over 6 hours mixed usage), but makes the depth of the laptop about 1cm greater than a 17" Macbook Pro (and it's already a few mm wider too) - and I know which I'd take on the road with me.
Think about how deep that is ... won't easily fit in most bags with the battery on. Won't sleep - and hence won't 'instant-on' with it taken off.
Also, the battery is loose - because so much of it sticks out of the back without support it wobbles a fair bit more than I think is acceptable.
