Anybody in South Africa been able to update their HTC Hero Android 1.5, to a STABLE ROM using the Android 2.1 OS ?
I have done various ROM updates but eventually returned to the stock 1.5 due to instability. Now I go to the community first.
Hi Greg, I'm in SA with an HTC Hero but HTC seems to have forgotten us down here with OTA Android 2.1 updates. You can do what I did a few months back and install a custom rom on your Hero. Go to www.villainrom.co.uk to download VillainRom 12 which is by far the most stable. The standard flash & root and Nandroid back up is required prior to installation.
