I would suggest the Logitech Z623's. I know they are a little over your budget by around $20 but I would highly recommend them. I have had them for about 2 and a half years now and I have had no problems. The satellites (speakers) are around 20 watts each and the sub is 120 watts I'm pretty sure. At half volume they shake everything in my basement and I have never turned them all the way up for that reason. The sub is tight which delivers a powerful kick and the satellites are good for both highs and lows. I listen to a variety of music and these speakers can do it all. I listen to anything from classical to metal core and they haven't disappointed me yet. They also come with a cable to hook up to your TV so you can use them for movies or gaming. I use them for when I play MW3, BF3 and Arkhum City and they are great. Highly recommend them .
