Any owners have any real feedback? Looking at seriously getting this, but looking for some kind of real review.
It's a pretty great device (typing this response from it right now :) and the only thing i could complain right now about the device is the lack of a built-in Marketplace (and I'm still trying to find a decent one since i cant seem to be able to install the regular marketplace .apk that has been floating around on this particular tablet and AppsLib isn't all that great).
go to forum.archosfans.com and within seconds you will find the apk to install the market and all the google apps...
Archos pinged me about a month ago asking if I wanted a review unit, and I signed and returned the loan agreement but so far haven't seen anything.
I did play with it for about 10 minutes at a briefing several months ago and felt like it was a good deal for the price, but I would really like to spend some real time with one before passing judgement.

To summarize, my 101 went back because the screen is utter garbage. It is so utterly terrible that - I kid you not - it literally made me physically ill when using it in portrait mode. I swear, I read comics on the thing for half an hour, and afterwards I felt so queasy (akin to motion sickness), that I had to lie down for a while to feel better. How this screen ever made it out the door - and how other users here aren't complaining about it - is beyond my ability to explain. Others on archosfans are complaining about the bad screens too, but not as much as I am. Perhaps I got a bad model, but I don't think I did. There were plenty of people saying "oh, it's fine if you look at it from a 30 degree angle." :O !
Please, do yourself a favor and stay away. I'll try to post more of a review later.

I bought the Archos 101 16gb early this week and i am very impressed with it. I managed to get the Android marketplace on it by using the latest V5 .apk from archosfans, and now i have the same widgets as on my HTC Desire mobile. I installed ANGRY BIRDS and it is awesome on the big screen, i also installed Dolphin HD browser straightaway which is far better than the browser that Archos install. I am still playing with it and the camera is surprisingly good.
I have the archos 70 IT and love it. Installing the market and google apps is very easy with a single apk. Slingplayer works and flash works. Mine tethers to my droid X via bluetooth with no hackery or rooting involved on either device. It does take a while to wake from sleep and be fully functional. And the first time you rotate the device it take 10 seconds to redraw the home screen. But after that the screen rotates are fast.
