Why? Would be the big point. It's a solid phone, but there's nothing about the hardware which particularly makes it attractive for other platforms given what's available out there now.

Instead of wistfully looking towards other OS's, people would be better off developing for, or fixing some of the crap core functionality of, the loaded OS - which has loads of plus points despite its many faults. And if anything I'd personally like to see a fully working reverse - e.g. a current Droid running Maemo.
