Android 1.6 or better for the Cliq sometime soon?

Has anyone heard anything or otherwise?

Nothing official yet i believe but I believe that in January February time frame it should get the update to 2.0 or 2.1. I don't think 2.0 was official for everyone and i would imagine Motorola is already working on a 2.X rom with Motoblur.

That would be good. So far the cliq (out of the my touch and the G1) is WAAAAY better in my case. I'm really happy with the cliq and hope to see 2.x early next year.

I was almost all set to buy the Cliq, but now that the Nexus One will support Tmobile's 3G, not much else i can say other then regardless its my next phone.

I spoke with some engineers at the T-Mobile Android Dept. and they said they are currently working on 1.6 for the cliq. Better then nothing...
