An opposite reaction...

Wow.

Now, I know Apple's Mighty Mouse / Magic Mouse create a lot of fodder for jokes and such, but I think this mouse definitely takes that joke and runs with it way too far in the opposite direction.

Would you use this?

And it retails for $74.99? This is a joke. Someone tell me it's a joke at least. Please?

Even if i was an OpenOffice user I doubt that i'd find uses for all those buttons. 75.00 mouse for a free office suite? absurd.

I could maybe, almost see this rivaling the Razor (hahaha) simply for the number of buttons. It might be handy in Quake, Unreal, or Call of Duty. A button for every action!

I imagine the buttons are intended to me mapped to various functions, such as copy, paste, etc., and therefore aimed at serious word processor/spreadsheet users...and anyone who uses office apps seriously uses MS Office anyway...

Yeah, with all those functions, that means a lot of subtle wrist movements as you move your hand / fingers slightly to hit each button. I can't help but think, "Hello there RSI! Come on down!"

The design is ugs, but the idea is great.

I'm all over that. Mainly because of the hilariousness that would ensue when people stopped by my cube at work and saw that beast. :D

I use OpenOffice.org and the 3 standard buttons are enough for me. I don't think there is any need for more.

You have to hand it to them for even making it *look* Open Source.
