All in all, I like my XPS 16.

I've recently purchased the Dell 3007WFP screen and have not been able to get anywhere above an 1280x800 resolution on it, which is quite painful.

Any ideas? Has anybody gotten the full 2560x1600 to work?

You need to use a DVI-D dual link cable OR DVI-I cable.

More specifically, you need an active dual-link DVI cable.

There are (slightly) cheaper adapters from Sapphire, etc around.

Thanks for answering!

That's what I've heard as well, but before I commit $100 or so, I want to make sure this will actually fix my problem (returns are a bitch). Has anybody with an XPS 16 actually done this & gotten it to work?

It's your *only* way, either way.

(Apart from swapping with 3008)
