Aliph Jawbone JAMBOX: Any questions?

Sadly, we don't have a speakers category on our site yet, but I know there's been some interest and discussion about the latest creation from Aliph. I recently received a review unit and have been playing with it for the past few weeks!

For random, around-the-house sorts of things, I'm actually really enjoying it. It's nice to connect my iPhone to it via Bluetooth (it does come with a 3.5mm male-to-male cord for those lacking Bluetooth functionality) and listen to music and podcasts while cooking, cleaning, showering, or kicking back on the couch. I think it'll even be kind of nice for picnics and such too.

I haven't had a chance to play with the voice activated features yet -- the device contains a microphone, so it can serve as an impromptu tele-conference speaker phone.

When I received the unit, representatives from Aliph told me it has about 10 hours of battery life, though I've gotten closer to 6. I think it's a pretty nifty device, but I'm not sure I'd pay $199 for it. For my lifestyle, I don't necessarily need the Bluetooth voice features.

Anyway, any questions about it?

How easy is it connect to various devices over bluetooth? Like for example a mac, iPad and iPhone? Also, what about sound quality?

Easy to setup for iDevices. There is more effort for desktop/laptop connectivity.

Does it have bluetooth multipoint, i.e. you can have more than one device connected to it at once?

No. One device at a time from what I have tried.

If you update on via the Jawbone website you can do two connections, but still only one for music. I enabled it, found it confusing with my iPhone/iPad having to determine which one was the music one, then disabled it.
