A quick headsup to anybody looking to buy this phone to use on the att network: The phone doesn't support att's 3g frequencies, if you get it unlocked…

and pop in an att sim card you would be able to get data on the 2g network only

That is the case with the T-mobile G2x, if you buy the Optimus 2X, which supports 1900, att (as well as Canadian carriers) will work.

But even then its more limited as 1900 is crap indoors and in rural areas. But in urban areas it should work quite well.
