Thanks for the response -- that makes sense. I guess I struggle to understand the value of spending that kind of money (almost $400 on Amazon without drives) when you can get a 2GB NAS drive for about the same price. If you really need a multi-drive solution (many good reasons for this) it's probably worth a little extra cash for the significant amount of additional storage opportunity.

Still I appreciate the clarification, I didn't pay the 'slim' part much of a mind.
