I've installed Leopard 10.5 before on my m1530 using iATKOS v7. I bought a retail snowleopard dvd and I know about superhai's boot cd. Anyone out there who has done this and can offer some advice for installing snowleopad on the m1530?

Lousy Battery
My battery failed after 18 months. Dell wants $185 to replace. 12 month warranty on batteries. This is a fairly widespread problem (judging by Dell's support forums), that Dell refuses to acknowledge. This complaint is regarding the battery only. The laptop is a very fine piece of equipment, and has worked flawlessly. Came with Vista, but that's another subject...

Metal Fading and Wearing Away
I have noticed that on the wrist pad near the card reader, the metal seams to fade in color very quickly and more or less wears away. Has anyone else had this happen to them? I don't think it is from normal use, but I am not sure what causes it.
High Res Screen
I sprung for the upgraded screen, boy am I glad. running games in 1920x1200 is incredible.
