Hi everyone, I'm trying to output a 720p MKV via HDMI, i have 2.2ghz processor, 4gb ram and the 8400 GPU (not sure on the model no.) but the video lags and stutters. I have tried KMPlayer with CoreAVC codec and same problem. Has anyone been able to play 720p or 1080p material smoothly, or am i just wasting my time because the machine cant handle it?

I tried to google a way to this problem, but no success. The problem is I cannot adjust my screen brightness at all, the screen brightness is at its full no matter what. I have been using the M1330 for over a year now.. The battery died just two weeks outside warranty (1yr). I have heard of a number of users reporting the same issue -- almost a self-destruct sequence embedded in the battery.. Can we do anything to make dell sit up and notice? Sob.. sob..

How freaking hot this notebook gets? Maybe it's just mine (I hope not) but after even a couple hours of use it gets uncomfortable to even use the trackpad because it's so warm. Great computer otherwise, but geeze, attach another heatsink or something!
