Windows 7 fried my Video Card

I did a clean install of windows 7 32bit 2 weeks ago, has been running well and much improved over vista. On Monday i got a weird screen problem, started up with lines on screen and then slowly went white....i rebooted and installed the latest video driver from Dell for my 128 MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS. All seemed well. Booted up again this morning and now its completely dead with the same screen. I bought it back in Feb 2008 so definetly out of warranty :( Any suggestions? sounds like this is...

Windows 7 RTM

Hi all, I've been using the Release Candidate of Win 7 since February and all different versions of it worked fine on it. Since I'm a technet subscriber, I was able to try out the RTM version a couple of days ago and it seems to have a problem with the sleep/hibernate mode. It just eventually blue screens whenever it enters that mode. I've tried installing chipset drivers from Dell's support page, but they only have the Vista 64bit version--no Win 7. I own a m1330 and since the day of purchase (officially a year old yesterday) and its been a total piece of crap. From August 2008- Feb 2009 they were "trying" to fix a vista hibernate issue (new bios, drivers numerous service calls etc). It was finally fixed when one technician suggest a memory reseating. I bought my XPS m1330 in September 07 and was really happy with the hardware. At the time it was the only laptop I could find with an LED backlit display and it had all the specs that I wanted. In July 08 I got the rainbow banding on the display which I found out is a symptom of a bad GPU so Dell replaced the motherboard under warranty and the system was as good as new.
