Conclusion: We like it

Dell's business-oriented Vostro 3360 strikes a good balance between features and pricing, offering a range of useful options at an affordable price. The 3360 includes three USB 3.0 ports, HDMI output, a fingerprint reader, and a fast processor, at a starting price of $599. At 3.7 pounds, it's heavier than an Ultrabook, and its 1366x768 display isn't going to win any awards, but the 3360 is still a great general-purpose laptop for students, small businesses and home users.

Yet, despite its average ergonomics and display, the Vostro 3360 is a solid all-rounder. Good performance is married with reasonable reserves of stamina, and the asking price is low for a laptop of this specification.

The 3360 is an excellent choice for students looking for a solid, portable work computer. Comparable alternatives such as the HP ProBook 5330m are typically more expensive and thicker. Other ultrabooks typically have reflective screens or only host a limited variety of interfaces.
