CDMA Version
Does anyone know if they're will ever be a CDMA version of this device. I'm on T-Mobile at the moment but looking to switch to Sprint.

Ordered back in October last year (via the UK), and finally received it a couple of weeks ago.
Very poor form from Dell in terms of the number of delays, and lack of information. However, the phone is awesome, love the feel of it, and WP7 is very nice.

Hey folks... in case you missed my blog post. We started rolling out Microsoft's NoDo OS update to T-Mobile customers in the United States last week.
There will be a Dell fix coming in the next few weeks that will address many of the issues our customers have raised. Here's my post that details the update process: http://en.community.dell.com/dell-blogs/Direct2Del...

I ordered this guy on the 6th of Jan and it finally showed up today. I'm pretty satisfied after playing with it for a few hours.
Haven't ran into any of the bugs and glitches it's famous for yet although the calls are fairly muffled sounding. Nice screen, keyboard works great, still dreading having to login to all my apps/websites.

I have to say I am a bit dissapointed in the way that Dell has handled this device so far.
The lack of information as to what is going on with shipments and ship dates is amazing to me. I am still waiting to find out when a replacement unit will be sent to the MS store so that I can finally get a working unit. It has been over a month since I got the first unit and am still left with nothing. Seems like they should just be taking pre-orders now with no specific launch date at least until they can figure out what is going on.

According to Lionel Menchaca the Venue Pro hasn't even officially launched:
"All: We are working to ramp #dellvenuepro production. Can't launch the phone until we can make more progress." Was posted by Lionel on his Twitter account. Apparently a blog post explaining the issue will soon be posted to http://direct2dell.com

Talked to my local Microsoft store today..
They seemed so sure that they would be getting a new shipment to replace the original units by today but when I talked to them today they seemed to not know when they would see replacements. I guess this week is out of the question.. Biggest bummer is I want to play more Harvest but do not want to loose to much progress when they swap out my unit.

I don't know which windows phone 7 to get.
The DLNA support would be nice, if I had stuff that was DLNA capable, but the Zune HD's gorgeous screenas made me want the venue pro's AMOLED and the vert slider profile is unique for windows phone 7 right now. Please help!!!!!!

I know this will be on T-Mobile in the US, but does anyone know if the chipset will also support AT&T 3G bands?

Seven Thoughts on Windows Phone 7
1. Microsoft deserves a lot of credit for rebooting its mobile OS. It’s all too rare for a company to admit that its existing product isn’t good enough and be willing to bite the bullet and start over. You just wish they hadn’t taken so long to come to that conclusion. 2. Hardware isn’t the story here. Generally speaking the first few Windows Phones are a bit underwhelming -- most are essentially WP7 versions of handsets we’ve already seen running Android -- but...

this thing looks clunkier in the pictures on engadget than the original photos/renders made it look.
i've never been a fan of physical keyboards, so it's not winning me over there, but it also looks really awkward to use.

I really hope that Dell doesn't limit this device to American carriers - let's hope they take advantage of their international distribution network…
and I get to see this device in Asia by the end of the year. Wish they'd announce it already though.

I'm really impressed by these renders, and hope the final device is built as well as the pictures look.
After dealing with so many poorly-made, cheap, and underpowered Dell PC's, I'd be relieved to see some quality gadgets come out of there,

This phone looks sick!! The form factor is perfect, gives you the keyboard without having to flip to the side (something i hate about the iphone for example).
It's just gorgeous. I'm SO getting one. :)

I don't know how ergonomic it would be to use a small QWERTY sliding down a huge screen, but forget about the practicality for now.
The Dell Lightening brings my dream form-factor to life, and that's enough for me. And add Windows Phone 7 with Flash to that. If they can make the thing look as good as the mock-ups, I'm sold.
