I'm deciding between the 2408WFP that seems to be a bit of a "classic." I found some refurbs on an obscure Dell Financial Site for about $250. Or I can buy a new Dell 21.5" Ultrasharp (U2211H) for, also, $250. The 21.5" has good pixel density and it's a much safer purchase, as I don't have to worry as much knowing it's new. Has anyone had issues with back-light bleeding on the left hand side of the monitor. I've read many different theories and its really not an issues when doing normal every day task. I was just curious if this was something that could get worse and if I should be contacting Dell for a replacement or just leaving it be because they'll all come back like that and just enjoy the many great things about the monitor
I bought a Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP in January 2009, and have since gone through four. I am in desperate need of a good quality monitor, but I keep on having issues with the Dell ones. Issues with Monitors are as follows: #1: Was very very hot. #2: Was even hotter than #1. #3: There were ghosting effects when viewing fast moving, dark images. #4: Same as #3. Anyone have similar issues?
