I've never had particularly expensive monitors, and this doesn't break that mold (I got 2 for $200 each). I code during the day, and 24" is exactly right for that. I can have 4 documents at a time, and I use those pretty robustly. If you want the size for the cost, and not a ton...

I only have one problem with this monitor, when coming back to your computer from monitor sleep mode, you might have to turn off the monitor and turn it back on, due to the fact that the screen may go fuzzy. This is a common issue with this product :(
