About
Dell's new Latitude Z series incorporates a 16 inch display into a thin and light notebook by omitting the optical drive (as an external attachment) and using a new kind of wireless induction (as an accessory) to wirelessly charge the battery with only a slight impact on recharging time. The Latitude Z also is the first to feature Dell's Latitude ON Linux-based OS, using a separate dedicated low-power ARM processor and flash memory to offer e-mail, calendar, contact list and Internet access from a nearly instant-on OS environment.
