I buy, build, rebuild and sell D610 laptops and found that while Dell doesn't list the D610 as capable of running the new Windows 7 OS, I had no problem installing it on one of the rebuilt laptops I'm selling. I've had my Latitude D610 for a solid 4 years now, and I've been very pleased with it so far. I have been noticing that recently the machine has been getting really hot in the upper left hand corner, right about where the esc and 1 keys are. Turning the machine over, the hot spot is right under the hatch between the fan intake and the harddrive. I'm not sure what it is or how to fix it.
