This is my second Dell Lattitude D610 laptop. The first one fried the LCD screen so I purchased a used unit to replace it. Both computers have been pretty reliable (except for the fried screen).
The touch pad is a bit of a problem because the cursor periodically jumps to a different location if you accidentally brush the touch pad. There is a utility you can download from Dell to disable the touchpad, but you are then stuck with using the joy stick built into the keyboard, or dragging around an extra mouse.
Battery life if okay,
