I have a notebook two years old,and I need to change my battery. Nowaday,many laptop companies has different batteries, and some laptop companies have different batteries for different models,such as: http://www.accukorting.nl , www.pcbatteria.com . So how to figure out which is mine? Any suggest is welcome.Thanks in advance.

Dell's new all-in-one desktop PCs... nice at the high-end but not worth it for those on a budget

Dells released this season's updated all-in-one PCs. The XPS One 27 comes with a nice set of features for the price tag (about $1400). The thing is that their Inspiron version of the all-in-ones seems a little overpriced for what it offers. For the $500 to $700 price (depending on whether or not you want a 20" or 23" display), you could get a comparable laptop. I get that they're probably for people that want a PC with a small footprint, but shouldn't desktops (even slim one) be cheaper than...

Just a heads up for any prospective buyers.
I was extremely excited to fire up X51 for the first time yesterday.
Right out of the gate, some things seemed....wrong. The packaging appeared fairly flimsy, with two plastic molded pieces holding the machine in place and a folded cardboard insert to fill the gap which existed between that and the outside box. I just heard a fascinating monologue on NPR's "This American Life" about the manufacturing plants in China where devices from Apple, Dell, and hundreds of other consumer electronic companies come from. This is one of those gadgets (HTPC) that improved with age. Just got my second one with blue-ray and it rums greats.

I watch hulu, and xfinity on a 46 inch LG TV. and while those are typically 480p, the amazon flix do get up to 780p. I got one about 13 months ago and returned it but saw that the specs improved and this time it is a keeper.

Be sure you get at least the Rev A02 of this monitor.

I had a Rev A00 one of these, and it developed (or maybe always had?) an issue with certain colors, only when these colors appeared on the left half of the screen, causing horizontal static lines, and if the problem colors covered enough of the screen, the entire screen losing sync and going black. Are we at a point where it is more important to have a more well built computer than a faster computer?

What I mean to say is, are there average parts in computers already fast enough to suit most users so that you're more inclined to pay a premium for a "better" computer as opposed to the computer with the most RAM or the fastest clock speed? When ordering a custom laptop online, what are the most important things to upgrade?

(to get the most "bang for the buck") Which parts will they try to rip you off on / should you try to purchase and install yourself? From my experience, it seems to be more important to upgrade the parts you cannot change later on. (For example, you can purchase more memory later on or get a new hard drive but not a higher resolution display.)

Question about Dell Dimension 5150 and Wifi connectivity.

I've been using my Dell Dimension 5150 with XP SP3 upstairs for awhile now, for stuff not on the family computer, like Photoshop and others. But I've reluctantly tried getting the wireless to connect. I've been unfortunate. I use an ethernet cable connected to a Linksys Wireless G Range Extender. It's worked before, but now that I've upgraded my wifi to WPA2, I tend to wonder if that's the problem. And if so, are there any drivers/solutions out there that could fix this problem? Thanks.

I've uprgraded my laptop's RAM to 6GB but when I checked properties of my system it says only 3Gb is usable. Why is that happening?

I have a Dell Inspiron N4030. It came with 2GB of RAM and is upgradeable up to 6GB. I brought a Transcend 4GB DDR3 RAM and installed it. I checked BIOS of my computer and it shows that total RAM installed is 6GB but when I check system properties it says 6GB RAM is installed but only 2.99 GB is usable. Why is that Happening? Is there anyway through which I can increase the usable RAM?

What is the best tablet to use for PowerPoint presentations?

[I would prefer an Android-based tablet since I'm already familiar with that platform.]

By "best tablet" I mean, which is the most reliable and intuitive device for running PowerPoint? What about connecting the tablet to a projector? Do they all have mini HDMI? Of course I wouldn't be designing the presentations on the tablet, simply running them.

Thoughts? Any help is appreciated!
