Detailed review
Dell's Mini 9, at first blush, wasn't a particularly amazing netbook. Its specs were basic, and its keyboard was needlessly squashed even smaller than it had to be to fit in the 9" frame. A tiny screen didn't help matters.
Its two saving graces were (a) the quality of that display when turned on, making it popular with photographers looking for something ultra-portable but good enough for light editing work, and (b) the fact that it was eminently compatible with Mac OSX, making it a perfect little hackintosh.
It's a tired choice, compared to this year's netbooks, but if you can find one cheap, knock yourself out.
