Anybody know if the Cradlepoint CTR350 can be used as a wireless router, with an ethernet cable as the source for the internet (WAN) rather than the USB cellular modem? This would be useful in hotel rooms with free broadband that comes into the room via ethernet, etc. If you have been able to get this to work, please explain how.
With the latest firmware update announced this unit acts as a MiFi router on any network with a huge list of compatible phones and connect cards, see this list http://www.cradlepoint.com/products/ctr500-mobile-... Since we already know how to data tether with the Palm Pre and your computer, I am wondering if you could then just plug the Pre in to the CTR500 via usb and get data tethering up and running. Has anyone tried this yet? It seems like it would be an easy thing to do but...
Thinking about picking this up to use with my Verizon mobile card so I can use my T Mobile Wifi Blackberry at some locations where I get zero T Mobile receptions. Any thoughts?
