Mine suffered the horrible E18 lens error after 6 months of regular use. Many Canon PowerShot cameras have suffered a similar fate at one point in time. Returned it to the store since they gave me the extended warranty and got a Panasonic instead. Image quality was good but build quality is obviously lacking, hard to get replacement for plastic USB cover should it break off.

SD card speed for HD video

When I was ordering this camera I didn't see any information out there saying what the minimum speed requirements on the SD cards were for HD video recording. I ended up ordering a Class 6 based purely on the fact that someone in the newegg reviews for that piece of flash memory mentioned that they were using it on this camera. When I finally got it I was flipping through the manual and it says that the minimum recommended speed is a Class 4 card (4 MB/s, 26x) so there you have it. In case...

Sound quality with video

Hey yall Been really tempted to buy a this canon for a while now, but there are a couple of things holding me back. The main one being as the subject, how good is the sound that is recorded with the video.
