I've met a number of random people in my trials, tribulations, and travels who happen to own a Canon S90 or S95 as their primary point and shoot camera. i already bought this camera... and really really i like the quality of the pic ..
easy to use with so many setting for a Pro in compare to panasonic LX5 (i intent to buy it)..but i take S95 it is more compact and cheaper but not good quality for shooting clips of movie.. for a pro user looking for best quality image it is the best choice

This is what the S90 *should* have been!
Only major difference is that it supports 720p video now (plus it has a swankier image stabilization system?). For those who already have the S90, I don't think it's a necessary upgrade (unless you *need* HD video). For those who have $400 and looking for the BEST compact point and shoot? This is it.
