We'll have to wait until people get their hands on them, but I'm happy to see that Nikon has finally decided to step up in the prosumer / P&S camera world. Their point and shoots are generally rubbish!
Besides the purported improvement in noise reduction in the higher ISO ranges and better burst performance due to the lower megapixel sensor, and the swivel LCD (undecided if I care about that), what do you guys and gals think of the G11 for purchase rather than a G10? Maybe some sample photos would help (hurry up camera review sites!)? Maybe I can get a better price on a G10 now instead...
Does the G11 NOT shoot HD video? Not even 720p? Come on Canon! If you want to compete you need to add HD video to the G11. Panasonic is all over this with the ZS3 and a micro 4/3rds (not yet announced) I have been waiting for the G11 to be my next point and shoot, but now I am really looking the ZS3 or a lower end Canon. Maybe I missed something on the spec sheet? I hope so.
