All told, Canon's PowerShot D10 is a stellar adventure camera. It's more than just a waterproof camera that's only marginally larger than a standard P&S, it's a rugged, lightweight shooter that should suit most everyone but the professionals in attendance.

The PowerShot D10 is waterproof, freeze-proof, and shock-proof, and it pumps out great-looking images, but if you're looking for a slim camera, this isn't it.

It might not look quite right, but the PowerShot D10 is a solid entry into rugged cameras for Canon.

Overall, we found the D10 to be an excellent camera for adventurous types, with a good balance of ease of use and robustness.

Canon's first attempt at an underwater camera is pretty impressive. There are a couple of areas to improve on like its video implementation and overall design, but for the most part the PowerShot D10 gets it right.

With a 12.1 megapixel sensor, 3x digital zoom and 2.5in LCD it's specifications may not set your heart racing, but within these boundaries it does what it does very well and produces excellent quality photos.

Not only is the D10 a super general-use camera, it is also a great outdoor adventure camera because it will take pictures in conditions where other cameras can't.

Underwater, the D10 proved fine and the LCD's wide angle of view will prove useful for close-ups at awkward angles.

The D10 will mostly appeal to the more active user, but is still a good bet simply for taking to the beach this summer.
