Detailed review
I can see why Consumers Reports rated it so highly. It is a delight to use, and the automatic settings are usually what I would have chosen under the same shooting conditions. The camera seems to know what part of a scene I am most interested in, and properly focuses on that part.
My previous camera was a Canon PowerShot A20, so now my pictures have more detail and are tripod-steady thanks to the image stabilization. If you've never had a digital camera before, this model is an excellent starting point.
For a point-and-shoot camera, this is the one I recommend to my friends and students.
